The Sixties Show
Join Mike Moore every Sunday at 2pm
Tagged as: 60s, Specialist music
The show goes out between 2pm and 4pm on Sundays. I play all genres of music from this decade. From the “teen Idols” such as Billy Fury and Bobby Vee, through the “Beat Groups” like The Beatles and Rolling Stones and into the beginnings of “70s rock” such as Led Zeppelin and Moody Blues.
As well as the hits I find some great tunes that were played on radio but never quite made it as far as the charts. The music is what matters and apart from some factoids sprinkled here and there that is what you get!
We have two features in the show, in the first hour we salute the 50’s and play two fifties at 2.50pm and in the second hour we play three slow tunes back to back, which we call the last chance dance.
Audience participation is encouraged and if you wish to contact me to suggest two from the 50’s or three slow tunes or maybe just a dedication request for you or someone you know then send me an email firstname.lastname@example.org
