From an early age, all Paul knew he wanted to work in the entertainment industry. His first experience, as is so often the case, was hospital radio at Airedale Hosptial in Yorkshire. He moved from this to a stint as a DJ at the local ice rink (music he still plays relentlessly to this day). At 19 he moved to London to study broadcasting, and has spent 20 years since working in the television and film industry, mostly at NBC Universal in technology, engineering and innovation roles. His family were surprised he never chose to be in front of the camera once he left college and he’s always been a bit of a frustrated creative, but he scratched that itch by speaking at conferences around the world and previously hosted NBCU’s internal podcast. He’s always loved music, and he loves talking even more, so when the opportunity presented itself he jumped at the chance of joining the Black Cat Radio team. When he’s not on air, he lives in Loves Farm with his fiance Louise and two children, keeping himself busy with a million hobbies!
You can listen to Paul on Saturday Breakfast between 7am and 10am and also Tuesday’s Packed lunch between 12noon and 2pm.
