Brian Dobson

My passion for radio began in the late 1970s when I volunteered at Hairmyres Hospital Radio in East Kilbride, supported by Radio Clyde and entertainer Sydney Devine. As a teenager, I built twin decks from family record players, leading to a mobile disco business with my friend Robert. Though my career took a different path, I seized the opportunity to join Black Cat 107 in early 2017, just before its FM launch. Since becoming Operations Director in 2018, I've witnessed the station's growth to over 130 hours of local programming weekly. Hosting 'This Week In Music' on Tuesdays, a Wednesday afternoon show, and 'Club Classics with DJ Dobbo' on Friday nights brings me full circle to my early DJing days. Being part of Black Cat Radio's dedicated team and serving our community is truly rewarding.
